Initially built in 1982, this luxury apartment building required an electric conditioning solution for 19 floors. To address this need, the owner collaborated with the mechanical consulting engineer, WalterFedy, who partnered with DXS to explore options and finalize the design.<\/p>\n
After being awarded the project, DXS worked closely with the mechanical contractor, Conestogo Mechanical, to execute the project.\u00a0The successful collaboration between the building owner, Waterloo North Condominium Corporation, DXS, WalterFedy, and Conestogo Mechanical resulted in the implementation of a high-quality electric conditioning solution tailored to the unique needs of the building. The VRV-S heat pumps and air handlers provide efficient and reliable heating and cooling throughout the 19 floors, ensuring optimal comfort while meeting the building’s energy requirements.<\/p>\n
DXS supplied the following equipment:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- 129 Daikin 3 ton VRV-S Heat Pumps totaling 387 tons<\/li>\n
- 51 Daikin HP\/CU-1 1.5 ton FXTQ Air Handler Units totaling 76 tons<\/li>\n
- 78 2 ton FXTQ Air Handler Units designed as one-to-one systems totaling 156 tons<\/li>\n
- Daikin Electric Heaters are field installed in the FXTQ Air Handler Units to ensure heating in low ambient conditions<\/li>\n
- Outdoor units mounted on wall brackets on each balcony<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
