Daikin North America LLC is pleased to announce the launch of VRV LIFE systems. Available in February 2018, VRV LIFE systems break technological barriers and re-invent residential air-conditioning by introducing inverter driven VRV technology to solve some of the age-old residential HVAC challenges.
The new VRV LIFE systems are the HVAC industry’s first VRF systems with connectivity to gas furnace and also the industry’s first HVAC systems to offer simultaneous dual-fuel in multiple zones (simultaneous heat pump and gas furnace heating in different zones). VRV LIFE systems offer a wide variety of application solutions: multi-zone heating and cooling, dual-fuel heating, compact foot print, flexibility to mix and match ducted and duct-free indoor units, and long piping lengths (to name just a few!). VRV LIFE RXSQ Indoor Unit:
Available in 2, 3, 4, and 5 tons, the VRV LIFE outdoor units offer excellent zoning flexibility with 1 to 1 and 1 to multi connections. Enjoy broader diversity with the ability to provide cooling and heating in up to 9 zones, and the ability to choose heat pump or multi-zone Dual-fuel heating capacity.Auto and programmable modes allow for heat pump to gas heat switches over temperatures. The RXSQ is compatible with 12 types and 65 models of Daikin VRV indoor fan coil units and 80-97% AFUE Daikin up flow and down flow communicating gas furnaces. Heat pumps operate dependably in extreme ambient conditions down to -4°F in heating mode and up to 122°F in cooling mode. The combination of VRV and VRT technologies delivers year-round comfort and energy efficiency.
A space-saving cabinet design allows up to 75% reduction in install space compared to similar capacity top discharge condensers. Units are engineered with Daikin’s Swing inverter compressor technology and backed by 10 year parts limited warranty and 10 year replacement compressor limited warranty.
VRV LIFE RXSQ Indoor Unit:
The CXTQ Cased “A” Coil introduces a dual-fuel indoor unit solution to Daikin VRV, featuring a VRVcompatible heat pump “A” coil designed to connect with a wide range of Daikin communicating gas furnaces. Available in 2, 3, 4, and 5 tons, the VRV LIFE indoor units are engineered for compatibility with RXSQ series VRV LIFE systems’ outdoor units. Factory-installed electronic expansion valves with PID control loops allow for precision capacity control, and the onboard control board provides seamless integration to the full suite of Daikin controls.CXTQ units feature air cleaner and humidifier capabilities, and UV and rust resistant 5VA rated Deca-BDE free thermoplastic drain pans with secondary drain connections. Foil-faced insulation covers the internal casing to reduce cabinet condensation, and the split seam front offers easy installation and service access. Units also feature light weight all aluminum evaporator coils. Ships factory standard up flow, with easy conversion to down flow. Backed by 10 year parts limited warranty.
