All of our split systems, whether single zone or multi-zone, are inverter driven air-source heat pumps*. Split systems are often used in residential applications in lieu of a central forced-air system, for the purposes of better efficiency, better zoning, or of heating a home using an air-source heat pump instead of using oil, propane, or natural gas. Split systems are also used in commercial applications, often to complement the building’s main HVAC system (VRV or other).
