Single Zone Split System

Daikin North America Single-Zone Splits

The single-zone inverter wall-mounted systems provide energy efficiency and comfort control with an affordable, cost-saving solution. These systems feature streamlined, wall-mounted indoor units paired with quietly compact outdoor units.

  • ENERGY STAR®: Proper sizing and installation of equipment is critical to achieve optimal performance. Split system air conditioners and heat pumps must be matched with appropriate coil components to meet ENERGY STAR® criteria.
  • 3-D Airflow: Combines vertical and horizontal auto-swing to circulate cool/warm air to the corners of large spaces.
  • Titanium Apatite Photocatalytic Air-Purifying Filter: This filter combines the air-purifying filter and titanium apatite photocatalytic deodorizing filter in a single highly effective unit. The filter can last for up to three years without replacement if washed once every six months.
  • Inverter Technology: The principle is simple: inverters adjust the power used to suit the actual requirement – no more, no less! Single and multi-zone systems deliver the capacity required to maintain desired room conditions, typically reducing energy consumption by up to 30% or more compared to traditional fixed-speed ducted systems.
  • Intelligent Eye: The intelligent eye is an infrared sensor with the ability to sense movement in the room. When you are in the room, the air conditioner operates normally. If you leave the room for more than 20 minutes the air conditioner automatically changes to an energy-saving operation. Using the intelligent eye, savings of up to 20% in cooling and up to 30% in heating can be achieved compared to units without this feature.

Hotel Ella

Under new ownership, the historic building known as Mansion at Judges’ Hill recently transformed into Hotel Ella. The building, located near the University of Texas campus in Austin, went through a multi-million dollar renovation into a boutique hotel that is named after the building’s original owner, Ella Wooten. DXS was named basis of design for the project, retrofitting the common areas with 10 tons of Daikin heat recovery. The ductless units that Daikin offers integrated nicely with the existing architecture of the historic building. As a bonus, the increased energy efficiency and use of VRF qualified the owner for Austin Energy rebates.
