Cost and comfort are top priorities for the HVAC system of any school, and this preschool is no exception. Starting with no cooling at all, Squannacook wanted to incorporate a new high-efficiency system that could be installed quickly before the new school year began. With DXS as the basis of design, 76 tons of VRV heat pump units were installed, with an additional 34 tons of heat recovery units for the option of simultaneous cooling and heating. VRV was the ideal choice for handling varying occupancy loads, fitting in the tight spaces of the renovation, and providing energy savings.
