Our VRF experts were tasked with renovating The National, a 50-story skyscraper in Downtown Dallas. Our team came up with a several unique design features, including VRV Heat Recovery Condensing Units to serve the majority of each floor located in old louvered chilled water AHU mechanical rooms. This kept the refrigerant line lengths and refrigerant charge within tolerance on such a tall building.

This is the largest single tonnage VRF project in North America at 3,200 collective tons of cooling. This project includes the 10-story Thompson Hotel and 32 stories of multifamily living spaces with two Michelin Guide listed penthouse restaurants, Monarch and Kessaku. Three custom Energy Recovery 100% OAUs from Alliance Air are integrated with our Daikin VRV Heat Pumps. Patrons and residents of The National will exist in a comfortable indoor environment for years to come thanks to our signature Daikin VRV.
