A new off-campus freshman residence will open just one block from The University of Texas in August of 2013. This premier facility will feature a secure building entrance, 24 hour courtesy desk, recreational lounge, on-site dining, private dining, study rooms, reserved garage parking with controlled access, fitness center, rooftop pool, and a premium efficiency Daikin Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) HVAC system provided by DXS.
The Daikin VRV system will include:
- 340 Tons of heat recovery condensing units, allowing simultaneous heating and cooling
- 36 Tons of heat pump condensing units
- 251 ducted indoor units
- an Intelligent Touch controller with web access and e-mail alerts
